For my Teaching as Inquiry, I am working with my HOD on the Year 9 Technology Classes. We are using them while they are doing the same project so that the results maybe comparable. I understand that this will never be a highly reliable Inquiry becuase we are a) comparing different classes with different students and b) we are different teachers with differnt methods.

The idea is that we are going to have one class working through the project entirely on the computer, and the other one using the current paper project book method. So, the intention is to observe the students and watch to see whether the computer helps them with their literacy and speeds up the process / aids them with their work. I have a few students in my class who particually struggle with writing and spelling, and I am interested to see the effects of the computer on them in particular.

This week we discussed the process towards this project and the way in which we will do it. First step: To set up a digital version of the process workbook.
