How can we better get to know our students?

As a group, the 6 of us contributed answers to a google drive sheet that had questions on it regarding how we can build relationships with our students.

Some of the key ideas I took home:

- Go to sports games, support them in aspects outside of your subject walls

- If the student has a particular cultural affiliation, show interest in this by encouraging them to work on their projects and get them to encorporate the cultural stuff into their project

- Teaching in a Marae?

- Offering classes outside of school time, such as on the weekends and after school tutorials
