Year 9 - Computer Literacy skills

For my Teaching as Inquiry Project, Year 9 Technology are going digital!

Exciting stuff. EXCEPT, I do not yet know how the class learn, how they are with computers and how they are with Google slides / mail etc.

So, the first project we will do (for 1 lesson) is aimed at identifying the strugglers and the whizzes. Another aspect I would like to look at is their interest in using computers. Since we are using them for the entire unit if they are not interested I need to figure out how to improve that..

Here are the results: (these are all recorded on a spreadsheet that holds their learning information)

As shown, I will need to make sure that instructions are provided in multiple ways: Written, spoken, and shown step by step during the lesson. There are some students who will need extension, and others who cannot stay on task.

This will be an interesting lot of students!
