Planning for Term 3

As a quick guide, I have created a text file that has the week-by-week plan on it so that as I plan each day, I can refer back to this to see that we are on track in the long run.
The students also have a copy of this plan (in a friendly version) in their books and on the wall in the classroom.

Week 3: Begin the presentation standard: Pinterest on methods of presentation - analyse as a class

Year 12 - yay or nay the presentation standard?
Term 3:
Week 1: Finishing up with the research print outs of old pavilions etc. Start on the collage
Week 2: Finishing collage, start on the conceptual ideas taken from the forms and shapes that emerge from the collage / research (30 ideas in 30 minutes activity)
Week 3: Concepts continue. Get 4 at least, clearly label where they are inspired from look at the floorplan via bubble diagrams and comment on functionality - always refer back to the specifications
Week 4: Choose the best idea to develop. refine the floorplan, move to sketch
Week 5: Refine the outside aesthetic, look at materials that relate to the initial inspiration (look back to functionality as this is the major driver behind modernism) and refer back to the collage for aesthetic appeal
Week 6: Refine the idea (FORMATIVE)
Week 7: Refine the idea / evaluation. Create a model from the sketch file

Week 1: Finish off the model

Week 5: Start on Google slides (learn the align tool, look at the automatic space tool, choosing fonts, colours, transparency, importing images, sharing etc.)

Week 8: PRESENTATIONS DUE start Rendering techniques (chalk pastel / smudging / tissue paper / eraser etc) Rendering some basic shapes to show form / cutout shapes / glue onto coloured card and present as a composition)
Week 9: Render and draw a view of their hut - 1 point perspective tutorial / scaling etc
Week 10: View of their hut + rendering (coloured pencils and ink pens for the outlines)
