Reflection:

Year 9 Mon 3 Aug, 2015

Todays lesson: Monday

- Overall students disrupted, but many working well

- The main disturbances are from the same students as always, one student refuses to work

- One student cannot read, thus cannot read the instructions on the computer based worksheets

- Most students understand how to get the computer to work

- Many students give up on the activity and go to the gaming site

- Students seem to need a lot of help, very needy

- Students over on the laser are working fairly well, although they stop often to wait for me to come over when there is an issue

- The end of the lesson was chaotic and threw me down URKGH

- The names on the board worked well

- Warnings seemed to have no effect, although when one boy was threatened with being kicked out he started to work a lot better. This boy cannot read

Next time:

- Demonstration on the board for the next lesson of the worksheet - CURVES

- Faster with the warnings, kick kids out!!

- Pull them together to do demonstrations on the projector when there is a common question

- Sit the kid that cannot read next to a hot shot on the computer

- Take DEEP breaths
