Safety in the Classroom

In Technology we need to do materials testing. Materials testing includes Burning, Soaking and smashing things - all potentially dangerous situations to get a bunch of year 9's to participate in.

So, as a class, I got the students to sign the board both days we were doing these tests. I am unsure of how it would have been different if this had not been done, but there were no incidents that came about after the board had been signed, and the consequences had been communicated.
