REFLECTION:
- I like how the borrowed equipment is handled. Name on the board with the item borrowed and then the name is removed once it is returned
- Students are offered a quick learning session where they can get information for the lesson if their homework has not been completed
- ALWAYS waiting for silence before talking
- Students are told the aim of the lesson, and left to get on with it
- Teacher manages behaviour from the front of the room - this ensures that she can leave them to their independence but also monitor their behaviour
- When the noise level gets up, the students are warned and given a little lecture. When the teacher stops talking the noise gets back up, and she hushes them back to quiet while they are getting back to the good level
- EVERYTHING is clarified and explained many times
- I like the counting out loud of people she is waiting for, nice and easy
- The response to a common question: Written on the board so that when the students keep asking she can easily point to the board / students have a visual aide
- Congratulations for their good behaviour
- No growling, just reminders - positive attitude and vibe in the class
