This year we have the new structure in Tutor group and it is taking a while to understand out responsibilities as tutor teachers.

Dan, our house Dean, has helped us figure out ways to use the time in tutor group. We have discussed ways to bond as a tutor, and what types of games we can play to open up the portals of communication between the members.

UPDATE 1: We have been playing the games, and I think they have been going reasonably well. The students are really into the competition of this setup, and one of the students even asked the others to speed up and get involved.

UPDATE 2: This week, we played against another Tutor group in a quiz round. This was a good activity, and it was quite nice to see the class work fairly well together in a competitive context. Also, the class are quite responsive to the overall fun side of things. It is also nice having something to talk to them about that is not totally attendance and discipline based.
