Oh gosh.

There is always one that forgets. Today, for the school mufti day, the one that forgot was one I have taught.

As I saw him, we had a little chat and I walked off. One of my colleagues came over and said, "Oh gosh, is that a little year 9 in uniform? Poor fella, I bet he forgot."

She continued to say that she always takes them home. Or, if they live close enough to the school, she sends them home to get their mufti.

She had a class first, and could not take hime home. But, I did not have a class first.

Also, because I was taking him home, I got to miss staff meeting yuusss.

When we got to the house, the father ran out to thank me and have a yarn, It was lovely to meet him. He seemed to be a good human being, and meeting him made a few of his son's mannerisms make sense as well. It was also nice to be greeted by the principal when I got back to school with a thankyou. The father had rung up delighted and thanked me for going the extra distance.

Cool. Also, without the ideas of the senior teacher, I would not have thought of it. It is so important to have experience around the school - books can't beat it.
