Literacy Strategy is a plan developed to assist in improving particular aspects of reading,

writing, listening, comprehension… this is a deliberate act of teaching designed to improve

outcomes for kids.

Shared strategies

- Cut and paste task designed to teach students to read an artwork

- Use of annotations to show kids what to look for

- Sharing of vocab within Departments so there is a common understanding of terms

- Use of templates

- Use ‘SEX’ to structure paragraphs

Inquiry

AL - naturally occurring evidence with the aim of reducing stress in kids

WT - learner agency

MN - strategies to engage PE studnets in the classroom

MO - e-learning to improve external academic outcomes

ZA - raising achievement in year 11 Art

- Focus groups – do we talk to them. Discussion around this

Senior Report Evening

- All good to go

Observations

- Keep up with them

- Incorporate ideas/suggestions in your practice and reflect upon those
