Putiputi Ra Harakek workshop

Te Takare had a fantastic workshop (FREE!) where a wonderful tutor showed us how to create Harekeke Putiputi. There were 4 types of flowers to make, and they were so very fun to make. It was wonderful chatting to the instructor and hearing about how the flax grows, and the pieces we are not allowed to take (inner shoots = children) and the shoots that we are allowed tl tak (outer shoots = grandparents). It is lovely how it is linked to whanau all the time.
