There was a free after school workshop at Te Takiri where we were taught how to make Putipuiti out of Harekeke, it was so cool! There are so many styles and while we were making them we got a lesson on the protocole of Harekeke, and of the collection. How to cut it etc.

After we did this workshop, I showed the students in my Tutor a video on Matariki, and we had a discussion about how this was a legend of the Maori, and how imaginative they are.

Very cool, I would like to do a project on Matariki at some stage.
