This student is one of the more motivated students in the class. He finished his work quickly, and after he made the driftwood version of his design, he found that the strength of the product was not good enough. He then used the wood workshop to create a better, stronger version of his cell phone holder... AWESOME!

This adheres extremely well to the 'outcome development' standard and I am unsure if he knows what he has done, BUT, he did it well.

Below are the photos of his work.

This has also allowed him to use his extra time to learn Tinkercad (which he learnt in 2 lessons) and use his skill to re-create a fitting for a machine. This has been an excellent extension activity for him, and he has been working hard every single lesson since he was given the task. I hope that this is going to foster a passion in him for the rest of his schooling for technology. I am pleased that I had the opportunity to offer him an extension task that has entertained his interest, and helped him extend his learning. The opportunity cam from Mr McKenna who has a fixture that is lost, and that he needs to be replaced. This student is creating this - fairly guidance free - in his extra time AND, he is getting paid if it is successful.

Awesome.
