Being a Mentor

It is halfway through the year and I am now a mentor to a year 12 student.
She is one of my DVC students, and she would like to become a Industrial Designer.
She is generally very good at keeping organised, but tends to fall behind in her work, and when this happens, she gets very anxious and nervous and emotional.
The good thing is, is that she knows she is prone to nervous attacks, and she has the support of her mother and father and family, and is working through this. I will be here to have a once a fortnight meeting with her, and just to try and keep her steered in the right direction.
So far, things have been going well, and she has been seemingly sufficient at keeping herself targeted and up to date. She sees me about things she is not so sure about, but so far, she is working well.
Let's hope that continues.
