Boys trip to Building stores

I have two young men in my Tutor group who are interested in building.
They have also never been into a building related store.
I tried to do some CV work with them, but this was difficult because they have had no experience and did not know what to write. Also, becuase they have not been into the shops and do not know too much about the expectations of the work, they are unable to really target their CV's.
Basically, there is no real world connection or context.
I have organised a trip to 3 local building stores. I have had to do all of the calling and get everything sorted for this to happen.
Today I took these boys to 3 stores in town. Placemakers and Mitre 10 were awesome! They toured us around the shop, and gave the boys a general idea about what they need to have (in terms of work ethic and hours they may work and what they need to know / what they can learn) and were generally very helpful.
The last place we went to was Crightons ITM sawmill.
WO! AMAZING! The boys were speechless by the end of this tour, and were super positive when we left. Such a cool trip, and so awesome to see them enjoy the experience.
